The hardest part of my journey so far has been staying in my own lane. It’s easy to get caught up in comparing myself to others, especially when I’m working towards something big and feel like progress is slow. But the truth is, I’m in control of so much, and I don’t always take the time to recognize it. I’m running my own race, and I shouldn’t feel the pressure to rush or keep up with others.
At 27, living in Boston, many people my age are still living with family or roommates. I’m doing things differently. While others are stuck in the cycle, I’m paying for Airbnbs, working on building my company until it can afford me the $2,000/month apartments I’m striving for. And I have no shame about it. It’s a process, and I’m okay with it.
I’ve built multiple streams of income. I resell, I’m starting up 9 fashion brands, managing 16 Instagram accounts (along with some other pages), and I’m running websites like this one to support my livelihood. I’m grinding. Once my delivery money is stacked high, coupled with resell from eBay and Mercari, and commission money, things are going to hit a new level.
I’m living my journey, unapologetically. I’m in my lane, and I’m going to keep moving forward. I believe in the hustle, but I won’t gatekeep. If you want to follow in my footsteps and do what I do, know that it’s not going to be easy. There’s a lot of sacrifice involved—if you’re not ready for that, then this isn’t the path for you. But if you are willing to grind and push through, you can carve your own lane too.
At the end of the day, success comes down to dedication, sacrifice, and staying true to your own journey. It’s not about comparing yourself to others—it’s about owning your race and knowing that, with patience and persistence, you will get where you need to be.
