To My Black Brothers and Sistas in the Industry: Don’t Stop, Keep Grinding, and Prove Them Wrong

To my black brothers and sistas in the music industry, acting, building brands, and doing your damn thing—don’t stop. Keep grinding, keep pushing. Don’t let these racist-ass systems and ignorant people make you think you’re not worth something, because you are. You’ve earned your place, and they can’t take that from you.

I’m not here to spread hate or start any nonsense, but I’m tired. I’m tired of seeing white folks look down on us like we’re nothing more than a product of a broken system. Just because we grew up poor or had less doesn’t mean we aren’t destined for greatness. Hell, it’s the struggle that made us who we are. We’ve been grinding with half the resources, and we still come out on top.

They want to act like we don’t belong in these spaces, like we can’t create, build, or thrive. It’s the same old story—black people get treated like shit because of where we came from, as if our history is a reason to keep us under their thumb. But we’re done with that. We’re done with them pretending they’re better because of a few extra dollars or the color of their skin.

You’re out here making moves, and they hate it. They see you rising, they see your power, and it scares the hell out of them. But keep going. Don’t let them or their petty prejudices stop you from doing your thing. You don’t need their approval. The world’s been telling us for centuries that we don’t belong, and we’re here to prove them wrong—time and time again.

So, to my brothers and sistas out there who are fighting, creating, and building—don’t ever let them make you feel small. You’re not here to fit into their narrative. You’re here to rewrite the whole damn story. Keep grinding, keep rising, and never let anyone make you think you don’t belong. They can’t stop us, and they never will. Keep going.
