1. Kindly introduce yourself

My name is Nassuna Husinah, I’m 23 years old and hail from the Pearl of Africa. I am a nursing student and the CEO of the Husinah Hope Foundation, an organization focused on empowering youth through education and skills development. I have a friendly, loving, and kind nature, and I find immense joy in caring for others. However, my greatest weakness is my overly empathetic heart, as I often prioritize the needs of others over my own. My mother is my greatest inspiration, encouraging me to always strive for growth and resilience. I live by the mantra, “With God, everything is possible,” because I believe that faith and self-belief can lead to incredible achievements.

2. What motivated you to pursue a career in the medical field?

My passion for the medical field was deeply influenced by my mother. Growing up, accessing healthcare was a significant challenge, and watching her endure these struggles inspired me to work hard. I want to ensure that no one else has to face similar hardships due to a lack of medical resources.

3. Do you have any words of wisdom or guiding principles that influence your daily life?

I believe that as long as you have breath, you should never stop striving. Anything is achievable, and every dream, no matter how ambitious or far-fetched it may seem, is valid.

4. What are some of your goals for the next 1-3 years?

Over the next three years, I aim to further my education by earning a master’s degree in Global Nutrition. Through my NGO, Husinah Hope Foundation, I plan to sponsor children’s education and organize medical camps in low-income areas. I also hope to collaborate with various global organizations to achieve our mission of uplifting communities in need.

5. Besides your medical career, what other passions are you striving to develop in your life?

Beyond my medical career, I have a deep passion for traveling and hope to explore the world’s beauty and diversity. I also plan to take photography classes to capture and share the wonders I encounter.

6. Is there anything else you wish to share with the world about yourself?

I am determined to leave a lasting impact—big or small—on someone’s life. My mission is to make the world a better place, one step at a time. Remember my name: Nassuna Husinah.
