1. Please introduce yourself and give a brief description.

For those who don’t know my name is Aysha pronounced (Aye-shuh). All my life people got my name wrong so I don’t even bother to put it on social media. But on social media, I go by mstoodope. Some people may prefer to me as “Haute girl” which comes from my brand. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I’m currently 22 and I am a Virgo, *coughs you know I had to throw that in there & I own a new found fashion brand “Haute Kloset”.

2. What inspired you to establish your fashion brand?

I always loved expressing myself some sort of way. Whether if it was by words, or fashion. But I always loved fashion. I love the art of it which is creating whatever you want and being apart of the creation. I wanted to create something I could be apart of while having people who like and appreciate my art apart of it. It’s not just for me, it’s for the world. I have some big plans for Haute Kloset and I’m so honored to say this is only the beginning of my dreams.

3. Are there any words of wisdom or guiding principles that shape your daily life?

I feel like life with with no hope & with no purpose is just meaningless. I believe that we were given this life to create and make memories. I’m always trying to feed my mind. I like to listen to motivational podcast about business and life. I write in my journal to reflect and to vent. I also been reading informational books to expand my mind and to inspire my creativity. I just say do whatever makes you happy. It doesn’t have to be starting a brand, or trying to be an influencer, it doesn’t have to be what I do. You have to spend some time with yourself and figure out what is it that you really want and aim on how you can get there. I’m not saying that it will be easy, nothing is easy. In fact this life can actually be shitty. Can I say that? Its really the truth. Unfortunately, we need challenges to help us get to the better version of ourselves or what I like to say “our higher self”. Laughs* that’s me being positive. But honestly don’t give up on you, even if you feel like nobody’s there for you, be there for you & the people you need will come.

4. What are some of your goals for the next 1-3 years related to your fashion brand?

Wow, this question is very deep. I have so many plans for Haute Kloset within the next 1-3 years. I want to collab with major brands like Louis Vuitton, Off-white, Denim Tears and so many more brands but those are my top 3. I hope to open the storefront of my dreams soon and place the stores around popular areas of the cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. I aim to expand to provide home items, jewelry, beauty, and so much more. To me anything can be “haute”. I hope to work with major influencers and fashion icons like Jayda Cheaves, India Love, Teyana Taylor and so many other people. I just can’t name all in this interview, but I think you guys get the picture. I want to give Haute Kloset all that I got because I see the potential that this brand has and I’m willing to do the work for it.

5. Besides your fashion brand, what other passions are you currently pursuing?

Besides my fashion brand I also want to invest into me. I don’t like labeling myself because I like to dip and dabble into things but I want to be an influence for sure. Peep that I said influence, and not influencer *laughs Im also a big time writer. I keep a journal on me. If I’m not in my journal I’m in my notes. But I’ve been writing some freestyles that I want to record and release. But I really love fashion and I want to learn how to sew. It’s funny because I took fashion in high school but I never got to finish the class, so I definitely want to tap back into that. I also want to start some more businesses but to name a few that doesn’t deal with fashion *laughs but it involves with giving back to the community, a program for kids, and just so much other things that the world will have to wait and see about. 

6. Is there anything else you’d like to share with the world about yourself?

I feel like some people may judge me off of my Instagram which might give some sort of image. But honestly I’m just a regular girl who’s trying to live out and create her dreams. I’m a very positive person, I always try to make the best out of a situation. I’m not saying that I don’t get upset, about things that would be a lie! But, I definitely try to figure out how to make the best out of it. I don’t want to live a regular life. I want to live my life on my own terms! I truly believe that we were not put here to be average, and just “live”. My vision came from above. I have to see it out and try my best to make it happen. That’s what we’re all doing though right? Trying to do our best? I know for a fact that I will be successful, I just have to remain patient, and be true to who I am. I may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and I’m fine with that. I may miss out on some events, I may have to sacrifice some things, but it’s okay because I see the bigger picture for me. I’m not saying don’t go outside and enjoy yourself but you will have to sit out & sacrifice some things to get to where you want to be. If I could say some more encouraging words I would say try not to judge anyone, we all have a story that no one knows about. Always know how to pivot. There’s always how you plan for things and how they actually happen. Great things take time, and time is never on your side! Be nice to others because what goes around comes around. Don’t be too understanding of certain things if it goes against your beliefs. Always have your guard up, don’t let people walk over you, that’s how you get used. Last, but not least stay true to YOU!
