1. Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about who you are?

Hi, I’m Prince Elyon, a young Congolese lad. I moved to South Africa at 10 and have been living here since. Soccer is my immense passion, and I also enjoy art, gym, playing the keyboard, and design. Good music is a delight to me as well.

2. What sparked your passion for soccer and what keeps you motivated?

I hail from a family without any soccer players, but from an early age, I felt an unexplainable love for the sport. My mom says I kicked a ball the moment I could walk, and it stuck with me. After the 2006 World Cup, I knew I wanted to go pro. My motivation comes from the belief that God gifted me with this talent for a reason, driving my confidence that things will align eventually.

3. Who is your favorite soccer player, and what qualities make them stand out to you?

Cristiano Ronaldo stands as my favorite player due to his extraordinary discipline, self-belief, and determination. He backs up his words with actions and works hard to achieve his goals. A true leader, hard worker, record breaker, and an inspiration for success against all odds.

4. What goals are you currently working towards accomplishing in the next 1-3 years?

My goal is to secure a pro contract with a first division team from one of the world’s top 5 leagues within the next 3 years.

5. What thoughts occupy your mind before each game?

Before each game, I strive to clear my mind, envisioning my actions on the field and the desired outcome. Sometimes, I draw inspiration from the performances of players like Ronaldo and Neymar in their best matches.

6. Is there anything else about yourself that you would like to share with the world?

Apart from soccer, I’ve recently developed a passion for reading the Bible and deepening my knowledge of my religion. This journey has been life-changing, and I highly recommend it to my peers and young adults out there.
