My name is Rose, a 28-year-old Creative Computing student from England. While I have autism, it doesn’t significantly impact my daily life, though I face certain challenges. I live independently in my own apartment with a mortgage.

2. What are some of your passions in life that you are actively pursuing?

I have a deep passion for software development and technology, and my university studies are expanding my knowledge in this field. Additionally, I’ve recently started learning how to cook, and I’ve grown incredibly passionate about it after realizing the joys of home-cooked meals.

3. Do you have any words of wisdom or guiding principles that shape your daily life?

One important principle I live by is not allowing others to negatively impact my mental health. I believe in staying true to myself and pursuing personal growth for my own well-being.

4. What are some goals you hope to achieve within the next 1-3 years?

Over the next 1-3 years, I aim to complete my degree and then pursue a master’s degree. Ultimately, my educational aspiration is to obtain a PhD.

5. In what ways do you aspire to make a positive impact on society as a whole?

I’m dedicated to utilizing software development and emerging technologies to create programs that assist individuals with disabilities. My goal is to develop software that benefits people of all ages, with diverse impairments, enabling us to overcome obstacles and lead fulfilling lives.

6. Is there anything else about yourself that you would like to share with the world?

While autism is a part of who I am, it doesn’t define me entirely. I have a range of interests, including makeup artistry and hair coloring, with proficiency in various hair textures. I enjoy reading non-fiction and learning new things, currently exploring the concept of being death positive and embracing cultural practices. My autism has broadened my knowledge in fascinating areas. Despite any social awkwardness, engaging with me will uncover a wealth of unique experiences and insights. So please, don’t judge me solely based on my autism; there is so much more to discover.
