Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Viara, from Houston, Texas, 22, and I am optician at Walmart. I am also a college student, where I am studying education. My favorite color is pink, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing makeup, and watching TikTok (lol).

What Inspires You Every day? : I inspire myself everyday. Seeing my current situation and how I grew up, I’d like to make a better life for myself and my future family. I see where I am and then I see where I would like to be and that is motivation enough for me to go hard or go home.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder.” I love this quote because sometimes, I can be going through something, and then I see a little quote on Twitter or on TikTok, and it’ll make me smile.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : I have so many goals! However, my ultimate goal in life is to have many businesses in different states or maybe even go worldwide. I would like to open a school, K-12, where the students will be taught by different people from different cultural backgrounds. I want my students to
Learn other languages throughout the school years that way they would know other languages and will be able to communicate with others aside from the basic bilingualisms.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Well, I’ve been okay during the pandemic (I have put on a little quarantine weight lol). The pandemic has opened my mind up to things like virtual learning which I find that I am enjoying a lot more than traditional face-to-face. I am doing much better than I thought I would; I have a 3.2 GPA right but we’re hoping to get that up soon!

What is a message you would like to give others? : Do not give up hope! If you have a dream, follow that dream doesn’t matter who believes in you or who doesn’t. Believe in yourself!

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I am just a ray of sunshine to others. It just makes me feel so good when others let me know how happy they are or how their mood changes when they see me. I just want to be that positive influence on someone else.
