Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Im jasmine, im 15 and I live in Perth. I play netball and do horse riding. My parents are separated and have been since I was 4. I have been through alot and went through some hard times, my mum had a abusive boyfriend for around 8 years of my life. I haven’t been the best in school, I have been bullied and have self harmed for most of my teenage years. I’m a only child, so I don’t have many people to talk to about my problem or ask advice from. But I have always worked through it.

What Inspires You Every day? : Something that inspires me is my friends and family, mainly my mum, she has been there for me so much and is so strong, I look up to her so much and she helps me to keep going.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Something I live by and always will is something that my dad told me and that was ” it’s non of my business what anyone else thinks of me” it took me a while to understand it but when I finally did, it was the best thing and I stand by that everyday of my life.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My life goal is to be happy, and in order to do that I want to have my dream job, and start a family with the love of my life.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic defiantly changed me and my life, unfortunately because of lock down my boyfriend of one year had to end things, but in a way it help me to grow and focus on myself alot more, so I am in a way greatful for it.

What is a message you would like to give others? : A message that I would like to give others is that no everyone will stay in your life, friends and partners will come and go, but don’t view it as a bad thing went they go leave, view it as a good thing, grow from it and learn from it, true friends will stay with you.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: Growing up it was different from what your normal Perth girl would, I was going to my dads ( a hour and a half away) every fortnight and then having to come back to my mums abusive ex boyfriend, and on top of that I was babysitting to help mum get a bit more money. Even though I had a harsh beginning to life I have learnt and grown so much from it, and even though I still have tough things to go through I know that I will get through it because I have been to hell and back.
