Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Brianna Tyson. I’m a small town activist and organizer. I’m also a poet and writer. Last year I published an ebook poetry collection. I believe in the liberation for all people. My favorite quote is “ Service is the rent you pay for you room here on earth” by Muhammad Ali.

What Inspires You Every day? : I wake up everyday thinking about my community and my creative passions. I go to sleep looking at men and women who positively impact the world- especially Black women.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: It’s the quote by Muhammad Ali “ Service is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : To liberate oppress people from capitalism and racial injustice.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I think without the pandemic we wouldn’t have had people focus on the BLM movement. I lost a childhood friend in the first wave of the pandemic.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Love yourself. Because you can’t reach your full potential until you do.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I plan on opening a bookstore one day in my city. And a selfie museum. And a coffee shop.
