My name is SHIKA. I am an rnb singer and have been writing and recording my own music for about 5 years now and only decided to release my first project this year. I am from Scotland but have been living in Australia/London for the last few years

What inspires you to be an artist?

I am inspired by my life and everything around me, songs, books, art. I have always been creative and it felt natural

What is some words of wisdom you live by?

If you stay true to yourself, what’s for you won’t go past you

What is a positive message you would like to give to others?

To never let anyone’s opinion get in the way and to always be yourself. It’s okay to be optimistic and things will always work out if you keep at it

What is your ultimate goal in life?

My ultimate goal in life. That’s a hard one. I want to achieve my dreams and reach my highest potential whilst being truly authentic to myself. I guess I could say I want to be rich with life experience and to share my creativity with as many people as possible

Last question how do you feel about life and what changes did you make to be where you are now?

I feel excited about life and the endless opportunities I have if I remain optimistic and work hard. To be where I am now I had to stop caring about what anyone else thought and think about what I wanted each day. I made a conscious decision to work hard on my dreams even if it’s going to be a long road, at least I’m doing what I love.
